looks lowered. Those seats look like they are from a later year s2000.

the pictures look pretty nice. check that front hood and bumper line- it looks a little low on the driver's side- may have been tapped. You also want to have a compression test done.

Yeah, the seats are from another yr like an ap2 and the top is from 02 and up. Just by seeing the ek foglights and red front and rear emblems, you can tell the previous owner maybe in his 20's. Wait, that's two different cars or maybe it is the same car cause there's a pic of the car w/o the lip and foglights. Im guessing the current pic is the one with the lip and foglights? So maybe it was trade in twice or maybe the dealer added the lip and foglights to it. As for the seats and top, the dealer might of replace it too. Anyways ask them for a carfax.

Be careful and patient.

carfaxes don't cover everything.

a Frankenstewie may be OK but only if really cheap

Can't shut up on this one-

if the seats are not original it's not the replacement seats but the story of how the need arose

Yes, this is correct. I didn't see the two-tone seats.

A 2001 should have all red or all black seats. Berlina and Silverstone both came with the option of Red and Black as interior colors.

So the seats are black with red centers and the carpet is just black; and the side panels are red. I wasn't able to check it out but my dad was able to and he asked if the seats were OEM and the dealer said they are. I'm so confused as to if they are OEM or now from the replies here haha and I'm not even sure if it should bug me as much as it is. Here's some pics that my dad took although they are not great at all it's something:

It kinda bugs me also how the some areas of the center console are a little beat, but how bad is it really compared to other 2001's? Easy fix or no?

lmk what you guys think and thanks for all the help so far; really taking my time on this haha.

Those seats are OEM Honda S2000 seats, just not the original seats for that car. They are OEM seats from an '04 or '05 S2000. The original seats in that car were all red or all black, the two-tone option was not available until 2004. These ones were swapped into the car at some point. The console could be upgraded to a mint or new 2004+ (AP2) console for $350-$400, or probably refinished/re-upholstered for $100-$150. Not too bad of a fix. The interior looks decent.

I agree with the previous posters on this, especially using that link posted by darkdream. I used that thoroughly when I bought mine, and it covers pretty much every major checkpoint there is.

Hope this helps, and good luck!

I agree with this about 50%. The other 50% of me says it's totally possible that the previous owner could have just wanted some red accents in the interior so he/she swapped out the original all-black for black/red.
