Possible new S2k owner here
Troy here from Fargo, ND. Been lurking and reading a bit on here to try and educate myself some. I currently drive a 2001 Toyota Tundra with a few mods an 250K miles, a 2009 Yamaha R1, and have a few other bikes for toys as well. I've always been a fan of the S2000, and have been debating between that and a 350z for a while now. I'm looking at buying a silver 2004 S2000 with 68K miles on the clock. The body has a few dents, a small hole in the top, lots of scratches/scrapes/scuffs, broken 3rd brake light lens, and has been in an accident (front right I believe). Interior is in good shape. The car has a bunch of aftermarket parts on it however: Inline Pro stage 1 turbo kit with a GT 30/76 ball bearing turbo, 3mm head gasket, AEM EMS, AEM TruBoost EBC, AEM water/meth injection, Axial Flow short shifter, PuddyMod built rear end (I think its the one that costs $2950 since it has the orange painted housing), Competition Clutch ultralight flywheel and stage 5 6 puck ceramic clutch, Inline Pro 3" exhaust, some gauges, Alpine CD player, wheels that look like Volk LE37 but I'm pretty sure they are Rota knockoffs, also comes with stock wheels and snow tires. How much should I pay for this car if I end up buying it? I'd honestly rate the body a 6/10. Supposedly the car has been tuned on a few different boost levels, and I haven't had a chance to test drive it yet, but is there anything I should look for besides the usual used car inspection?
How much power can the PuddyMod rear end take? I know the stock rear diff is pretty weak, and driver error will destroy it quickly.
How much power will that turbo kit support, given the correct fuel system mods?
I'm thinking if I can get a good enough deal on this car I will pull the trigger. Thank you for your time.
