Hey guys sorry for the late reply I've been busy with work and school. But ya I feel that the s2000 is the only car that fills the void with its light weight and nimble handling. Also the reason Im selling my rx8 is that I just bought a daily driver and am looking for a real sports car that I can drive on the weekend or take to the track. The reason I asked about supercharging is because I've read numerous threads on this forum about comptech, science of speed or vortech supercharges and how there really reliable set ups. However, I would like some opinions on whether a supercharger will satisfy my need for speed, as Im not looking to drag race the car or anything. The only reason I brought up the corvette was that its supposedly a great bang for your buck car but Im just reluctant as it will have heavy steering and just feel like a bigger car, sort of like my experience with my dads 350z.

The C5 Z06 is definitely a great bang for your buck car but the interior is lacking and the body has definitely aged. My s2000 is supercharged and the added power is great. So far it has been hassle free with zero issues. Superchargers are definitely more simple than turbo set ups which makes identifying issues and problem solving much easier. Unfortunately, there is no cheap way of making an s2000 faster so if you're not willing to fork up the cash, buying a faster factory car may be easier.

It makes me cringe everytime I hear someone say the Elise is a "step up" from an S2000. It is a SIDE-GRADE at best, and one that doesn't offer much more in terms of performance and offers even less everywhere else.

To the OP: I think you'll like the S2000. Supercharging the S2000 is a tried and true method done by members here often. If you like the handling characteristics of the R3 you will not be happy with the Z06. While it is a very very capable car and a monster through corners it doesn't sound like the cup of tea you're looking for.

Ya I think Im going to get a s2000 once this deal goes through on my car. Like I said before the R3 was lacking in power, however the other problem with the renesis engine was that there were no reliable options for F/I with the car. Also I do not mind spending money on my car, as its something I have a passion for and love to do. I also like the fact that the s2k forum is so much more alive than the corvette forum which seems to be rather dead for some reason.
