hello! i'm thinking about picking up a used s2000. what model years would you avoid or prefer? thanks!

 

I should be getting a S2k soon enough to store it for the winter, once I sell my 944 turbo.
I'm planning on finding an '05 black one with around 20k miles.
And upgrades:
Spoon calipers
Cusco 6pt roll cage
Comptech intake
J's Racing test pipe
I'm gonna stop now before I cry.

 

Hey guys.

In the market to buy my S2k and will begin the long tedious quest to make my perfect S2k, looking for a 03-04 model with decent miles.

Have a huge list of mods and will be requiring senior members expert opinion.

You will miss the torque but love the high end and the handling

I was particularly chatting with the west country owners as I live in Cornwall.
I had a beautiful s2k for just under a yr but had a horrible accident due to surface water and the fact that Honda in their wisdom decided to forget to install traction control!!
I would love to hear from any of the guys/girls that I used to be in touch with on here.
I am missing my car so much now, and even after how much the crash scared me and temporarily put me off the s2k I am seriously considering getting another. Ive settled for a seat ibiza FR 1.8 20VT at the mo as the accelleration is almost as quick but it is a much safer car. Lets not even mention the look compared to the s2k!!, that said I miss my s2k so much and am desperate to get another one!

Hi, I,m about to take the plunge and buy a 2005 S2k with 21k mi. There are several problems holding up the deal.
1. The current owner bought the car used from a dealership on March 20,2009. He has 2 small children and he found the S2k just wasnt the car he needed (he should have thought that through b4 he bought it). So now he wants to sell it. He financed the car purchase through a bank and doesnt have the title in his possession yet. He paid 20k and is willing to take a loss and sell it to me for 17k. My question is how can he quickly get the title from his bank (I assume they have it) and get the lien removed? I wont buy the car without the title and the lien removed. I want to buy it and he wants to sell it, any advice?

2. The current owner doesnt have the owners manual for the car either. I actually read these to see how everything works and I want one. How can I get one?

 

hey guys whats up im ryan from niagara falls ny and i just drove 6 hours to battle creek michigan and purchused a 2001 spa yellow s2000 and im sooo excited to bring it back.... i was wondering if i should tape off the bumper with blue painters tape or something along those lines let me know thank you!!
