This is not a first-car type of car. I've said it for over a decade and I'm still saying it now.
Learn on something else, get this car when you've got some experience under your belt and can appreciate it more. Your first car is a throwaway car and gauging from your lack of seriousness in this thread (assumption, sure) its safe to say you won't know how to take care of it.

You likely won't give 2 sh!ts about good advice in here anyways so good luck on your search, and you're a lucky kid to have an S at your age if your parents/situation end up allowing you to own/drive one.

Good Luck with whatever you end up with. Have you ever drove an S2000?
The tire issue comes from the power and alignment of the car, and the fact that it calls for aggressive summer tires. That is not to say you couldn't put long lasting tires on it but what would be the point? Tires have the single greatest impact on the cars performance in handling, acceleration, and braking. Basically, if you can't afford to put the right rubber on it, you can't afford it.

But I would like to
Inexperienced driver and not knowing how to drive a 6 speed can lead to trouble in the S. Even experienced drivers get into trouble(Paul Walkers buddy).
Pick up a nice Civic Si or a pick up truck. Lol. The S is really not a daily driver, it's more a weekend auto crossing car.
When you're able to afford 2 cars, make the S the second car.
Anyway, when are you picking the S up?

Any car can bite a bad driver in the butt. The real problem is that bad drivers never know enough or listen enough to know they're bad drivers.
To the OP. Some stuff to look out for:
Look out for shifting in curves or corners.
Throttle lift in curves.
Bald or low tread tires.
Over or under inflated tires.
Summer tires in the winter or cold tires.
Never try too drive above your skill level on the street.
Go to a track and/or take some advanced driving classes.
I hope I'm not coming off as a jerk because that's not what I want to sound like but these cars nice and you need to know some basic stuff.
