Purchasing an S2K
Hello ladies and gents,
I'm new to the site and the s2k world...I've wanted an s2k since theyve come out and now things are going so well for me in life that i have the opportunity to purchase one!
BUT...as much as i love them, I would love some help and advice or tips or things to look out for when purchasing one!
I havent decided between an AP1 or Ap2 yet...but im curious what the major advantages or disadvantages are between the two.
I have PLANS to supercharge the s2k, not sure which model would be best for it.
Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated! and who knows, i may just purchase an s2k from one of you guys, along with a supercharger
I'm pretty mechanically inclined so dont be shy with the car lingo. I'm a major car enthusiast so bring it on!

Well, inmho, the disadvantage of the Ap1 is that, it's older, for one, and for two the 9000 rpm limit, while exciting, makes you unable but to notice the roaring sounds of the engine and exhausts. It's just too loud.
The AP2 is newer, in my opinion has a slight better handling and even better looking.
I've had an AP6 for 6 months now, and I've driven an AP1 for 3 months before it.
The AP1 had 400 hp on it (super charged) and was very much a racing car.
The AP2 has 288 hp on it, is just fast enough, elegant, and more quiet.
As for the mods, I'm not an expert in that, so I will refrain from giving any opinion here.

Ap1 or Ap2,what ever car you decide to get, you will still be happy to drive an S. I am a fan of Ap2 bumpers but I love having a 9k red line, so that's why I picked an 03Ap1 instead, What ever you decide on getting just make sure its bone stock and has low miles! You dont want anything that has already taking a beating.

Howdy! Regarding the AP1 or AP2 thing. People will swear up and down about which one is better, but it's really subjective. Go out and drive each one and see what you like. In the meantime, take a look at this incredibly useful thread.
