My del Sol was also the non-VTEC, SOHC D15. Jesus it was slow. I got beat by minivans at stoplights who didn’t even know we were “racing” xD

Still loved the car though...I would wash and wax that thing every. Single. Weekend.

It’s been years since I’ve owned “my own” car as my wife has gotten the last couple since I get vehicles to drive from work (Cadillac dealer manager). Looking forward to having something that’s a little more “mine” and not feeling like I’m “borrowing” my wife’s Miata RF when I want to have a fun drive.

She has made it home and is tucked away for now. Looking forward to dedicating a day next week to detailing.

Got

Got it up on the lift today to give the underbody a good look over. Pretty much as you’d expect with bonus cobwebs. Small oil leak from the oil drain crush washer so I’ll get the oil changed and washer replaced. Might as well start fresh.

Previous owner mailed me some Service documents, pamphlets, and brochures from his ownership and original purchase. The original buyers invoice, hard top installation work order, etc were included but I left those out of the picture since they have sensitive personal info on them.

Back to S2000-less. Bittersweet but excited to see what comes next.
