OP, you are in the same boat as me.
funny thing is i have an e90 m3 which is my only car at the moment, but i'm thinking of buying a s2000 to be my DD.. my commute is 25miles each way..
my logic for using s2000 as DD is
1. better gas mileage
2. can be as fun as m3 and torque is useless in stop and go traffic
3. i can drop the top down if the weather is good
