The column L is the number of numbers between your VIN and the one before you. In the case of your 2000 the car before you had vin 333. That vin is 12 numbers away from yours.
The column M is your current place in the model year. With a number of 22 in column M you are (for the time being) the 22nd car in model year 2000.
