s2k handling at high speed

Does the factory front lip and rear spoiler on the truck actually help or is it purely cosmetics?
You just need to get used to a rear wheel drive sports car. A front lip, rear diffuser, and spoiler have a huge effect on the high speed stability of the car. However, you have to get one of the tall ricey looking spoilers to notice any difference.

I have had my 2005 for 6 weeks. I drive a lot of curvey mountain roads daily. Car handles great there. Put it on an interstate at 70 +/- and any entry into a curve, particularly downhill gives the feel of losing control (like fish tailing). Have an '05 MINI cooperS and it absoulty sticks the same curve. When the loose happens, we usually have some luggage but nothing extremely heavy. Is this just the way the s2k handles or am I doing something wrong ? Any advice would be appreciated.

You just need to feel the limits of the car. Before the S, I have had a miata and a mini. both were more front balance. through sharp turns it felt like a fwd. with the S however, you will feel the rear sway more through turns. It might feel loose, but in reality the rear can withstand more cornering speed. With performance school and autocross you will be able to feel the limit of the rear tires and be able to drive faster. its all about experimenting through the turns. Drive Safe!
I'm still trying to get used to this. But feels much more confident trying this out on the track with instructors ...
