Post Sat Nav for S2000?

Hey guys,

I just bought an S2000, and it has the standard stereo - so perfect excuse for me to upgrade!

I would like a media receiver to play my mp3s, have bluetooth as well as have sat nav. As there is no room for a double din unit in the S2000, i wondered what most people tend to use for sat nav (i really dont want to use a portable one)...

Is there another solution? I know you can get single din flip out sat navs, but im a bit worried that they will break...

Cheers!

i am fairly sure that the flip out will not fit because of the angle and overhang of the dash... it takes a bit more of a custom approach like seen here

and welcome!

I've been wanting an in-dash nav system too, but it's not possible without heavy modding. I settled for a large screen portable nav and a modifry dash mount.

No one has found a flip-out unit that will work with the S. Consider the shifter and the overhang with the vents above the radio.

I use my Motorola Droid on a ProClip mount on the Modifry bracket.

I'm currently using a Pioneer BT-610. It has hands free Bluetooth, A2DP audio streaming, usb/ipod connectivity, and an aux jack. I've been really happy with the unit so far. The interface takes some getting used to, but other than that it's a good, full-featured head unit.
I think JVC makes a single DIN unit that has a satnav display on it, but keep in mind you will be looking down quite a bit to see the sat nav while driving.
I also use a modifry dash mount to with a nuvi ball to secure my garmin. This keeps the sat nav in view without having to mount the system on the windshield.
