Second Intro.. 05 WRX--->AP1
How's it going guys? I joined this forum a few years ago in hopes of selling my 98 Prelude and upgrading to an s2000, but due to tight funds, that hope died. I ended up enlisting into the PA Air National Guard in 2012 and, upon my completion of tech school, sold my Prelude and bought an 05 WRX. I did basic "stage 2" bolt ons and some suspension work along with some astetics to have fun with the car. At the same time I bought my WRX, my dad found an 04 S2000 with 32k on it for a price he couldnt pass up, so he pulled the trigger. I've taken his car through some twisty mountain roads and immediately fell in love with the car, so much that I ended up selling my WRX about a month ago in hopes to find a clean S2k.
I'm currently in my first month of my 6 month deployment and have been browsing the forum during my free time, trying to soak in as much knowledge as I can and make my decision between and AP1 or AP2. There is a local guy that does all my body work with an 02 (maybe 03) with around 120k on it that he said he would consider selling to me. Ideally, I would be looking for the lowest mileage car for under 15k I could find, but the kicker with his car is that he'd include a spare engine with 600 miles and a spare tranny as well. As far as I know, there aren't any issues with the car, aside from the condition of the top being unknown at this point. The car is always garaged and never taken out in incliment weather considering it's his "weekend" car. The body any paint are very good and it comes with an Invidia N1 (I know it's loud, i'm coming from a straight piped wrx, so i'm used to it lol) and tein springs which i would probably swap for Bilstein PSS9s or BuddyClub N1s.
His asking price is $11,500 which I think is reasonable considering it comes with a practically new engine. Thoughts?
Anyway, I just thought I'd drop in and give you guys (another) intro. the community here seems to be very friendly, so I'm looking forward to learning more from you guys as time goes on.
