Default Selling my 07 STi for 05 S2K

Hello everybody!

I joined couple month back but didn't really have chance to intruduce myself..
well.. I live in Socal.. Southbay and Inland Empire area..
I currently drive 07 STi but it'll be sold around next or week after that.
I love my STi but its time to move on to something else..
I'm looking into buying an 05 s2k and will be test driving them and going to check them out..

one is 05 and has 31600miles on it, and other one is 05 with 23000miles on it.
wat should I look for? anything I should pay more extra to when checking it out?
or hear for sounds? and do ppl replace valves at 30k? I thought I heard that somewhere..

I have driven few of my friends s2ks and I really love it.
Yes, its slow compare to my STi but its not all about that u know.
I just can't stand a car for too long.. (its bad) and really want to own s2k.
after I buy one, I'll be going to Buttonwillow on thanksgiving weekend to really test what its all about!

any help, comments, concerns would be appreciated!!
hope to meet a lot of you at the meets and stuff!

thanks.

You're right there with me. I'm currently trying to sell my wrx so I can get into an s2k. I'll be looking for an 04-05 AP2. I've had my wrx for 3.5years now and loved every minute of it but I think its time to move on.

Lately I've been spending more time on this forum than the subaru ones I usually check out. I just went through rob.ok's entire build thread. Great stuff there and I can't wait to get into one.

I could see the appeal. After having my S for four years, I have the new car bug as well. Nothing I've driven makes me want to bite. I rocked a C63 last week. Yea, its fast but it sure wasnt fun for the daily application I would use it for. I'm not the type to buy the same car again either. I'm screwed.

I haven't bought a used S2K so I wouldn't be able to answer your questions. Anyway, I'm also in the I.E. You should come out to the weekly Inland Empire meets. I don't go too often (only been there twice), but they're fun if you like standing around and making gay jokes.

oh noes.... I just traded my 05 s2k for a wrx and i'm lovin every minute of it. I really needed to do it i'm getting married and starting to slow down and start a life with a family soon and just needed more space. your in socal so you really don't get snow. If you lower it any you have an instant snow plow, haha. any who, good luck with the venture. Do you have any good parts you want to sell?

Loose women prefer the S2k 5:1 over the STi.

I would defenitly get a certified s2k. It's just the piece of mind for having 100k extended warrenty. Also you should'nt have to pay any more then 18k otd for one(05).
So, with that all said if the motor gives or you drop a valve (unlikely) you have your warrenty to lean on. good luck
