Default should I sell my S2k or not?

My s2K is Nov 01 with 32,000 on the clock. I am changing jobs and expect to do 20 -30000 miles next year.....to date I have had no problems with the car in the 2 years I have had it...........but with such high milage looming am I wise to keep hold of the car or go for something newer?

Your car will be fine, just stay up on the maintenance.

This is actually a general car question. If this is a financially motivated question, it is always better to keep a car for as long as you can. The longer you keep the car, the more the depreciation cost get ammortized over time.

Also, the S has decent gas mileage: 25-30mpg on highways. It's not a gas hog by any means. So, there is less motivation to switch to a car that can get slightly better gas mileage

Keep the S until the cost of repair is more than the value of the car.

Keep the car. An '01 Honda is still young. I have a 91 Lude that has 155,000 miles. So far there are only minor problems, but still runs and looks great.

--keep the car!

I put 276,000 miles on my '93 MR2 Turbo and it's still my daily driver....Hondas and Toyotas last almost forever. Not like some "other" makes of cars...

I bought my S2k on January 3rd with 60,080 miles. Tonight when I drove home there were just over 68,500 miles on it. Drive the snot out of it and love every second. What are you going to drive if you get rid of it, some coffin on wheels? Some clapped out rattle trap that you are going to hate spending every second in? If you have to spend that much time in the car, work on your tan and look like you have lots of free time. Take the long way home twice a week and pop some endorphins on the way.

Phew...what a silly question.

Its more fun to drive and pay for a car you dearly enjoy, than paying for something u dont... that new car will prob depreciate faster if you put that many miles on it in a year compared to the car now assuming its been paid down... Jst drop the top when ya can and cruise...

Keep it.

Do not park it next to your new boss's car.
He/she will never give you a rise.

No. Nothing else, just no. You'll regret it and it will haunt you.
