Default Silverstone AP1 - My next project

Good morning... Evening.. Whatever time of day it is for you.

I'm James and I'm happy to be bringing another S2000 into the fold. I'm new to S2ki and S2000/Honda products in general but not to auto forums in general. My car is a 2000 Silverstone AP1 with 100,000 original KM on it. I picked her up at 81,000KM as a stopgap between DDs in April 2013. The car was my DD for most of the summer last year when I was in town and it was everything I'd hoped for. - I drove it as much as I possibly could last summer. I hail from Toronto, where the winters are harsh, so its an April through November jalopy only. Its never seen road salt.

A bit of background:
The car has had two previous owners. The dealer kept the car as his personal road/track toy for ~15,000KM of spirited driving before selling it to the elderly gent that I bought it from (a family friend). An unfortunate sequence of medical crises meant that he couldn't afford to maintain the car and as a result, it sat from 2010 through 2013 completely untouched. He and I struck a very reasonable deal for the car on the understanding that he would be able to drive it now and then. I got a low mileage AP1 for $9,000 CDN, he got to see his pride and joy on the road again.

Me:
I'm new to Honda tech but not to project cars. My last project was a 1989 Mercedes 190E 2.6 with a 5-speed manual. I did tons of stuff to that car and it was ultra-rewarding as a project. Over 600,000KM on the car, 400,000 of them mine. I have membership at 190rev.net and Puremb.com under the same alias, being a global forum for 190E variant owners and a local Mercedes club, respectively. For those who are interested, my build thread is here. I've put together a couple of g2gs for those clubs and I always enjoyed the community that showed up. It's a very supportive group of people that join rare car forums and I hope that S2ki is no different.

First things to be taken care of are:
Full canvas & AP2 window swap for retractable roof
Replace track damaged driver's side mirror

I could really use help with:
CEL is currently on, showing codes P0302, P0304, P0300, P1399. At first, it was only showing 0302, so I swapped the ignition coil to cyl. 4 and then things really went haywire. The misfire is audible and the idle is a little rough at ~750RPM. It's also a bit sluggish in a hard pull, probably due to the same issue.

Also need tires.. Currently the car is on OEM AP1s but I'd like to get into a set of ultralight 17" with a good wet/dry compound 225 front and 245 rear. I'm open to any suggestions really although my first pick would be something from Toyo's shelves.. I've had great luck with them in the past - 5 sets, 2 winters, 3 summers (T1Rs on the Benz). Does anyone here run with R1Rs for a combined street/track setup?

I'll do some searching on here when there's more time but I have a move-in date in mid July and an exam before then so I'm really just trawling for easy suggestions (if any exist).

Until then, thanks for checking out my thread & I'll keep you posted on any updates.
