Skyline owner buying an S2000 from Australia!
Hello everyone,
My name is Dylan, I'm a 23 year old student from Melbourne, Australia. I currently own a 1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T series 2, which is up for sale. I've had a tough time choosing between a Nissan 350Z, Mazda RX8 or a Honda S2000 for my next car, but after weighing them all up, I think the S2000 comes out on top and in my opinion is also the most pretty.
My previous cars include:
-1991 Subaru Liberty GX
-1989 Honda Prelude Si 4WS
-1994 Honda Prelude Si
-1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T series 2
-2000 Toyota Celica SX
-1996 Nissan Skyline R33 GTS-T series 2 (yes, another one)
As you can see I have a soft spot for Honda, having owned two Preludes and loving both of them. Now that I've gotten over the whole turbo thing it's time for me to purchase a car with a bit more class. I've heard of S2000 having weak diffs and that I should be sure to check the roof is in good condition, are there any other things I should look out for? Also, does anybody know how many kms/miles to expect out of the engine before it needs a rebuild/replacement?
Thanks, hope I get to know you all soon.
Dylan.

The only way to know about the retainers is to take the valve cover off and have them inspected. If you know the cars history and the previous owners driving style you should be good but that would be a rare occasion lol.
Nice Skyline btw..
