When I owned my Fiesta my plan was that I was always going to get a Focus ST, but that changed when I saw an S2000 for the first time. Now I'm slightly worried that nothing will live up to the S2000 when it comes time to change.

I don't think there are any current production cars that use the 'classic' roadster shape, the new Z4 looks nice but that is going to take a few years before depreciation brings it down to a level I can afford, I so wish there was a successor to the S2000 but it seems like Honda are spending more time and effort on green fuels... but why couldn't they make a green S2000?

The Civic would be a contender but from what I've heard about rock hard ride, on the roads round here, it's a non-starter.

Damn you Honda.

I'm thinking Evora, 911, Evo or something with V8.

The time of such cars is limited.
Give it a few years and we will be forced onto 900cc eco egg boxes.

Actually, I'm thinking this might be fun for a weekend toy.
Cheap as chips also.

0-60 in 3 seconds. Hmm - and more spacious than a 7 lookeelikee

A guy I used to work with built one with a K20A engine. By pure chance I parked up next to him at an MSE track day earlier this year and we had a good chinwag. T'is a fairly brisk machine, similar pace to an R300 Caterham.

I was thinking of this thread for 2010

I've owned a lot of stuff before / after the S, and was thinking of a GTR next. But, i'm slowly coming to the conclusion that more fun can be had at lower speeds. The Evo is hardly slow, but bugger me can you have some fun in it. Something silly fast can only really be pushed on track (inlcuding the Evo most of the time)

So I think more of a driver car next, or a sense of occasion.
