Post Snowy and his S2K

Greetings everyone;

My name is Enzo but you may call me Snowy_Beast or just Snowy.

It's a friend of mine who introduced me to this site, since then I've been reading some news in here pretty often. To make it a short story; I consider my-self a S2K purist. I sat in, and drove my first S2000 on a Monday the 27 of March.

I bought my own S2000 the next day; I remember it like if it was yesterday. It was the 28/03/2006 and to this day; I drove it for a little less than 2,500 miles. I know, it may sound little but every time I drive that beast, you should see the excitement in my face! Next weekend I'm going to store that baby for the entire winter. I will miss it a lot;

I will post some pictures of my car later tonight, until then I just wanted to say hello.

P.S. I have few technical questions... could someone re-direct me or tell me where to ask them? I'm still feeling lost in this forum.

Enzo, welcome to s2ki.com.

Technical questions come in many forms. Most can be asked in S2000 Talk forum, but some should go in specific forums (Electronics, Under the Hood, etc.).

That's too bad that you put the car away for the winter. I did that for my first three, but kept Neb on the road last year and will be this year as well. I look at it as a mental health thing.

Best wishes.

Sorry to hear you are storing your car for the winter. I have had mine stored for about a month now. First couple weeks are tough, then it isn't so bad, well except when you walk into the garage and have to see it. I am kinda in the same boat as you and I will miss mine thins winter, but it will just make things that much more fun when I take it out for the first time next spring.

My black one will take me through another snowy winter over here. It's my only car, so no other option! And the fun part is that you can make nice figures in the snow

We've just had our first frosty morning, and of course the gritters have been out spreading salt. I cant bear to take the S2K out when its like that. Is it a mental problem? Fortunately I have another vehicle.

I know what you mean, dnimmo. It's a mental shift to allow yourself to drive in wintery conditions.

First of all, I hope you have snow tires for your driving. Very important on the S2000. Those summer tires that are stock are not good once the temperature falls and the ground gets bad.

Try to stay away from the "gritters" It's not easy, I know. Unfortunately, paint chips and windshield pits are pretty much impossible to avoid in winter driving.

Be safe!
