Good morning to all my fellow S2ki members, allow me to introduce myself. My alias is JnC and I go by the same screen name on Acurazine, ClubLexus, HIDplanet etc etc. I recently had the good fortune of running into a deal that was too good to pass on, picked up a 2000 AP1 S2k locally, the car does needs some TLC. The previous owner/s enjoyed the car and modified it to their liking; sadly their taste in modification was a bit different than mine.

Here is what the car has currently on it
- Carbon fiber hood
- Carbon fiber front bumper
- Carbon fiber fenders
- Carbon fiber trunk
- HKS high power dual exhaust
- AEM CAI
Sadly, the only OEM part that came with the car was the trunk, which needs to be repainted due to getting scratches and damage whilst being in storage.
Preferably I’d like to trade the CF parts with someone who has 04+ silverstone metallic OEM parts, if it doesn’t pan out that way then the best alternative would be to just sell the parts, buy used OEM ones and get them painted to match.

My intent is to bring the car back to stock and do the AP2 appearance upgrade. Any input, thoughts and or comments are more than welcomed.

I thought about that but refrained from going down that route for a couple of reasons
1) Fit and finish of the CF parts isnt as good as factory.
2) I prefer the AP2 bumper with oem lip, in the long run my plan is to do the AP2 appearance upgrade.

These parts are pricey, at least thats what I gathered from my short research, I wish I had all the OEM components handy as it would have made selling the CF parts a bit easier.

Thanks, I intend on starting a progress thread as soon as work starts on the car. Being that it wont be my daily driver I intend on doing all the work before the car is actually put on the road. Already have the stock airbox trade in progress for the AEM CAI that came with the car.

 

BTW, is there a way to figure out what brand are the bumper, fenders and trunk? I'll post better pictures to get the idea, for the time being I know that the hood is VIS as there is a badge on the underside of it.
