Tennessee transplant in LA
Hi everyone, i just picked up my AP2 Silverstone Red/black a couple of weeks ago and am absolutely loving it.
I just moved to LA for work from Iowa and am orig from East TN, about 45 mins from motorcycle mecca...Deals Gap.
I had somewhat of a crazy journey to picking up the S as right before I moved i had to sell my 550hp 05 Evo 8
so only having my daily econo box got old quick. I had orig planned on picking up an Evo X but thanks to insurance prices
that idea was quickly snuffed out. Then since I knew I'd be picking up a sportbike pretty shortly after getting here (since i've been without since I moved to the flat lands a year and a half ago) I thought I might be happy enough with a Mini S to daily drive since I'd have a bike again to quench my thirst. Then that morphed into looking for a convertible after testing a Z which got me to thinking about how much I liked the S2000's back in high school.
Since I'm a hefty 6'3 240lbs I initially began my search looking at 350's and Mini S's but i kept finding myself looking at the S2000 and wondering until i finally found a clean, low mileage, cpo one close enough to run over and see if i fit... long story short after a short test drive I was sold and have been smiling top down ever since.
Anyway on to a couple of pics:
Probably why I think the S is so comfortable... about to set out on a 2 week long, 6500 mi ride across the country on a 600RR. (did this 2 years in a row. Once to the North West and the other time to the South West)

Also did my fair share of corner work at the Gap before it became the crazy place it is today

Evo

Bitter sweet night i bought the S2000... I've owned the Jetta since Junior year in high school. 8 years of fantastic memories sitting there.

Obligatory top down pic
