Test drove 05 last night...........
So here it is I'm selling my 03 Cummins Ram to do a little downsizing. Wife and I drove an 05 S2K last night, thought it was really nice. Yes it does ride a little rough and is sorta noisey but it is not a Lexus. As an option my neighbor has informed me that his co-worker is an auto wholesaler! If we were to decide to go with a used 04-05 what should I look for as problem areas? This is going to be used year round, yes winter tires, we also have a diesel liberty for hauling the pooch and bigger items. It looks like I'll be driving the S2K in the winter and letting the wife drive the jeep. Like I said though when looking at a used one, are these cars fairly robust or fragile, we've had Hondas and Acuras before so are these built with that same degree of reliability? Thanks for any input, this is a really good site for info.

Read here a bit and you'll decide to go with a new one instead. Sports cars can be abused without showing it - problems could pop up later. Do yourself a favor and buy a little extra insurance by getting one you're sure hasn't been pounded on.
I guess we may end up going with a new one just for the clear history that comes with it. Harpoon hit it on the head, I don't know what has been done to a used car especially a sports car. We are still up in the air as to what to get yet but thanks for the input and again this site has some good info on it.
Well, the flip side is that the cars are pretty tough. You should be able to drive a smoking deal on a used one. But, yeah, there are some really terrific deals out there on left over 2005s. Best of luck.

Well, we did it, picked up an 05 last night. Silverstone with black. Almost went with the 06 but then they threw "the deal" at us, seemed good to us so we bit. These are just too much fun to drive, so we had to spoil ourselves.
dont freak out if your headlights are not straight. its supposedly designed that way to prevent ocoming traffic to be blinded with your headlights....
note: left light being a bit lower than your ryt head light. dont freak out like i did. (damn dealer di'nt even know why it aint straight).
