Make sure it has 4 wheels and 2 seats. Its pretty much like any other car, just give it a good inspection and ask the previous owner for any service records. If you don't know much about cars its always a great idea to have it inspected at a Honda dealership or a mechanic/shop you trust.

There are a few things to look out for on an 02...
1. Did the spark plug recall get done? This was important because folks were having engine damage from backed-off plugs.
2. Have the fluids been changed regularly?
See if you can have a compression test done on the engine -- this helps you determine if the engine might've been overrev'd by a previous owner.
Also, see if you can get the service records, and maybe a carfax report.
