Traded My 135i for a 2001 S2K
Hey guys!
Quick intro:
- Manual Trans Engineer for one of the big 3
- Built a ton of forced induction motors ranging from race engines to street beasts, even a 600whp Mazdaspeed3.
- Bought 135i with intentions to make it into track car, quickly realized how much money it would cost to maintain and track....listed it here and got an AP1 w/75k on it. I just wanted one with a roll bar but I ended up with a very well sorted car....got 32 mpg driving 80 mph on the way back home so the motor must be in great shape!
Mod list/other info:
Brakes/Suspension
17x9 +45 Silver RPF1
AST 4150 Coilovers
Fenders Rolled
Centric Rotors
Project Mu Club Racer Pads
Project Mu NS400 Pads (Extra set of 4)
WASP Composits Carbon Fiber Brake Cooling Kit
Corner Balenced 2015 (50/50)
Alligned 2015 (-2.5F/-2R)
Safety
RSG Rollbar
RSG BulkHead Bar
Exterior
OEM Honda front Lip
J's Front Tow Hook
Generic Rear Hook
Robbins Replacement Softtop with glass
Front Windshield Replaced
Engine
K&N Intake
Invidia Test Pipe with defouler
V300 Cat Back painted black
AP2 Intake Retainers
Moroso Oil Pan Baffle Welded In
04-05 Valve Cover Modified to prevent blow by
Radium Engineeing Catch Can
Valve Adjustment done 2015
Compression Test done 2015 (all within 5%)
It's simple and to the point. I will probably throw a larger front sway bar at it so I don't play spin-a-rama at my first track day. It's going to be a long winter!
Cheers!

Just order a head unit and all the goodies to get it set for bluetooth goodness...and getting my friend to make me a couple shift knobs (sphere and dessert eagle both heavy made out of SS). BTW shameless plug: Maisonvi Shift Knobs.
https://www.facebook.com/maisonviknobs/
He can make pretty much anything and is very, very reasonable. Tons of people from Mazdaspeed use him. He has made me knobs for every MT car I've owned.
I can't wait to hit the track!

Very nice. I track a bolt-on 135i with aero. We track on low-boost and it has been a very fast and reliable car. Running costs have been low. Open diff kills it though, and it kills rear tires too.
S2ki has far better turn-in and is a lot more nimble, but it doesn't have that torque

It was a fantastic car, but for an amateur like me I'd rather have a Honda....I used to work for them as a co-op and basically did nothing but wrench on and do valve adjustments for emissions tests. Just a comfort factor thing for me.
BTW if you need any 135i aftermarket parts I got a whole pile I'm going to be selling off. PM me for a list. It will all be posted on 1addicts.
