Default From Type R to S2000

Hey Guys,

New to the forum, new to the world of S2000 completely! I'll hopefully be picking myself up the S2 tomorrow, after being in my EP3 for 5 years, and I cant wait I'll post some pictures up shortly of both the cars. Other than the geo which I know has been done and set up correctly, is there anything else I need to look for?

The S2000 is a JDM import, end of '99 model thats been facelifted and has a full spray in Porsche Riviera Blue

Is there anything to look out for whilst driving it or any noises I should be aware of that will be different to the Type R?

Welcome
You should check the "under the hood" section for the common problems thread, and once you get it, change all the fluids. There is a lot of info on the forum, just keep on reading.

Thanks mate. I'll be sure to do that. I'm going to service it tomorrow after collection! I'll carry on reading. So used to EP3 Forums, and being a Honda Enthusiast I know most issue's and noises, but not sure if there are some extra's with the S2's!

There are quite a few, but quick fixes and usually inexpensive. One thing you should watch out is the TCT noise (if it's present, it usually shows up after the engine is warmed up, then stopped, then restarted).
If you're curious about engine temperature and other stuff, get an ODB bluetooth adapter and the torque app, it's cheap and it's a nice tool to have. That way if you ever get a code, you'll know what it is in a sec (for instance if you get a cat code, it's safe to drive until you fix it, and you have some peace of mind).

Almost forgot: check the oil level every fill-up, as stated in the owners manual. If the light ever comes on, 95% you'll need another engine.
