Congrats young man. Remember this car is a missile so be careful.
My son got a 2G CL Type S when he was 18 and every day we worried about him over doing it.
That was 4 years ago and thank god he used his head when driving.
You are going to love your new car.
The color is sweet!

I love VWs, but s2k is definitely a step up from the beetle regardless of whats under the hood. congrats.

Casey,

The high revs and snappy engagement of VTEC are really kind of what the car is all about. If you look at them as problems to be fixed, I fear you may be dissatisfied with this car in the long run.

Well, my best wishes regardless. You're young. Take it easy and get accustomed to the way the car drives.

Sick car, its what im currently looking for myself. Looking to trade my integra in sometime in the next month or two.

Although im not extremely familiar with the f20/f22 engines, I am familiar with the honda B-Series, and the theory of vtec. If you were to lower the vtec point, you are going to lose alot of the low end power and being a low displacement 4-banger, you dont have alot to lose. Point being, you are going to destroy your power curve.

Look for a dyno chart of a stock f20c. (found a couple on comptechusa.com) you will notice the torque curve is almost flat all the way through the rpm's, change the vtec crossover point, and you will have a huge slump in the middle.

Now that ive gone really far off topic, I'll stop. Just wanted to give you a heads up and some kinda explanation as to why the vtec crossover is so high.
