Post Whats Up Everyone

Hey everyone. My name is Mike, I live in NJ. I am in love with the S2000. It has been my dream car for many years. This winter (actually within the next 2 weeks) I will go and search for one that I can get for a good deal. I plan on getting a USED one since I really cant afford a brand new one.

I have been doing alot of research on the S2k. But if anyone can give me any quick tips on what to check for when I'm searching I would greatly appreciate it. Def will check for leaks, oil burning, engine sound.... But was wondering what I should maybe look out for.

Also it may anger a few of you... But i plan on using this car all year long, so i will plan on getting winter tires asap. I heard the Blizzak l am-22 are good, however when i searched www.tirerack.com I could not find them on the suggested tires. Would anyone recomend the Michelin X-Ice (Studless Ice & Snow)?

I think this post is long enough. Just wanted to say hi.

I'm running the Dunlop WinterSport M3's and VERY pleased with them!

Good Luck on your search!

I found a white one with red/black interior. Actaully this dealer has 4 S2k's all of the year 2001 all with 32-40k miles....

The white one he wants 19k. I think i can lower the price by alot seeing its the end of the month, its winter, and the car has been sitting there for over a month.

Welcome, Kabs. Best wishes in your hunt.

I'm not a huge fan of the LM-22s (I think the WS-50 is a better winter tire when anything's actually on the ground), but any winter tires will be (way) better than the stockers.

As for what to look for... Spend some time looking through the threads that are already here in Intro. I think they'll lead you in the right direction.

Best wishes.
