I am in the market for an S2000. What is the best time to buy and what prices should I expect to pay for?

My dealer in Elk Grove, CA wants $30k for it. As ppl are getting around $28-29k$. So I would wait for a bit.

a friend of mine got his MY06 for 31k OTD. That was after 5 hours at the stealership and haggling like there is no tomorrow. In the end, 31k otd....all worth it baby.

Best time to buy is when you can comfortably afford the payments.

As for the price, looks like S2000 has a stable price throughout the year. Prices haven't changed much since model year 2003. I got mine for 31.5 out the door during summer back in 2003 and people have been getting theirs for similar price (give or take $500) ever since.

31K OTD

I just wondering where's your friend live at or just simply tell us what is the window $ he bought the car, so let us figure out how much Tax & L. fee he pay to end up 31K OTD.

If you paid 31K OTD from my town, window price will be $28000.00

yeah.....probably around 28k. With 07s coming in, it's only normal to get it for 28-29k plus ttl....comes out to ~31-32k. You definitely should not pay over that at this time of the year.

It's always a good time to get Summer's the worst time actually. By towards to the end of the year, you have new models coming in. That carries on until March or so. Then convertible sales start to pick up -- and then the previous model years would most likely be all sold out, and you'd be forced to buy the "current year" model.

Anyway, good luck!

Invision- your sig says you have the two-tone interior on a GPW? Did you trade interiors with someone? That is the combo I wanted but only black was available.
