Default When to rebuild

Hello,

I recently purchased a 2002 with 142,000 miles and a shot interior ( got a good deal). The new interior is coming along and not sure where to spend my next allowance. The compression is pretty even on all cylinders but should I consider a rebuild? It doesn't smoke and I don't have any noticeable problems.

Thanks

I'm not convinced that these motors can go 400k-500k like Civics, but there are multiple reports of people with over 200k on their original motors. If the compression is good and the motor runs fine.. why mess with it?

Welcome!
