Consider buying it? Heck I may call him. Seriously, if it all checks out it sounds fair.

Whos car is that? I remember him posting on here a year or so ago. I think it was in a big brake kit thread...maybe the Wilwood 6-piston GB thread right next to my car

8 things is nothing. they could be recalls (taillights, seatbelts, whatever), or simply regular maintenance at the dealer.

If the seller is in VA, why are all the specs in metric?

Lets just say you value the used hardtop and a Vortech for $1500 a piece (and those would be bargain prices) then your looking at a car selling for 19.5K.
$19,500 isn't a great deal for an 01 w/ 44K on it. I bought my 02 in perfect condition with 34K on it for that amount.

But hell, i'd buy it just for the tilt wheel!

Vortech SC
VAFC II
Work Meister S2R with Michelin Pilot Sport
Wilwood BBK
OEM hardtop
Upgraded stereo
Glass window soft top (not installed)
Shop manual
Full records

Sounds like somebody babied this car. Those are some significant $$$ upgrades. If the mods are something a person would be interested in, this strikes me as a seriously good deal. The person selling this car, if they went through the trouble of parting out the mods would rake in significanlty more money IMO.

I'm not arguing against Elistan's points, but as a rule of thumb, performance upgrades add no value to a used car. Please understand that I'm talking about $$, not about desirability. The Vortech, VAFC, and Wilwood brakes should be ignored in terms of comparisons for price with other cars. The other options, particularly the HT and the wheels are important to judge comparatively.

I wonder if the owner has the stock wheels too.

I agree that if the car had been parted out, the owner would be better off financially. However, it's easier just to sell it as-is, and that can be to your benefit.

As for the car being "babied," well, I would doubt that. I think you mean that it was well-maintained, and that's provable with the records, which is great.

As folks have already said, if you like these mods, it's a bargain.
