Hydrolocked my engine hit a flooded area this passed week, any ideas who is best to get my engine rebuilt or what exactly my most economical way of coping with this dillema? Thanks....CJ

I would say pull the plugs, then drain the oil refill, then leave the plugs out. Turn the motor over ensuring that its not going to give spark. Then put the plugs back in and see what happens. But hey, thats what id do. Good luck tho.

You might still have to suck some water out of the cylinders yourself. I hydrolocked a gsr motor in my old eg. Ended up bending a rod, so I rebuilt the bottom end. Hopefully you won't have that problem.

I dont know any places up in Jax to take it too but there are a couple places here in Tampa that know the S2k inside and out and have "saved" and helped many people in your situation...

here in Tampa, LHT Performance recently saved a hydrolocked S2k engine from certain death.

I know we are a good distance away but we have several shops that know the S2k better than just about anyone. Might be worth the expense to get the car down here....

Trust me if I could take it down there I would, but the extra expense is just not on my side. But thank you so much for the reference.

Do you think it would run me cheaper to rebuild the engine or buy s used one?
