Default Looking for someone to do engine work

So randomly while looking for something else, I found out that AP1 retainers are a weak link in the engine, and a lot of people upgrade them to the AP2 retainers. After having a retainer fail on me before, I don't really trust them, so I'm looking to upgrade.

The parts are only like $60 from the dealership (retainers & keepers), but I don't know what the labor would run on doing this kind of thing. I'm most likely going to go to Jacksonville to buy the stuff (I think we still get the s2ki discount at Honda of the Avenues, right?), so I was wondering if anybody knew someone who they trust to do the work?

Also, if Josh sees this and wants to do it, I'll throw you some money to help out!

About 20k. Everybody knows I don't really drive my car hard at all, but this is just a piece of mind kind of thing. Thanks for getting back to me though, how have you been?

i have been really busy but good. i wouldn't worry about the retainers until atleast 100k (less if you frequent vtec) which you don't.

On my first engine, one dropped at around 50k miles. It was right after I had a valve adjustment done, which may or may not have something to do with it, but I almost never V-TEC and have never overreved. I know I'm probably just being paranoid, but for $60 and a couple hours of work, I'd rather have the piece of mind.
