Are you saying that you are going to pay Stage 6 to do a valve adjustment but not the IMG?
I would pay to do the valve adjustment versus doing for free IF nobody at the mod day actually knows how to do the valve adjustment. From what I understand, it's a pretty exact science, and even being off by a hundredth of an inch on a few valves can affect the performance significantly. One guy on here was running like a two-hundredths of an inch more aggressive setup on his valves, and ended up losing some power and eventually f'ing up his car.

I'd rather do it for free, but only if there is someone there who knows the specs and knows how to do it. Well, not entirely free, since I'm buying a couple cases of beer, but close enough.

YEP,its your choice and your car, if Ryan was here I would trust him, Josh is also very very capable. I was just giving another option. Of course let me know if you need anything.

I don't do anything without consulting the service manual. More things are likely to go wrong with a IMG install than a valve adjustment.

very true, I talked to Josh and heard his horror story about the IMG mishap, but it would be harder for me to tell if there was a problem with the valve adjustment, so it's just as important that it's done right. Josh, what are your thoughts on the valve adjustment?

i have already done two valve adjustments on my car and am about to do one on the new motor when i get back in town. it is not that hard to do, i also have the service manual with the specs. i have learned from the first img install (i didn't loctite the bolts and i didn't connect the lower intake bracket), i never ran into any problems the second time i installed it. i don't know for sure the capacity of the cooling system but i am pretty sure it is around a gallon and a half. i have most of the tools required for both jobs plus i have a low profile jack and two jack stands

cool, I'll bring my low profile jack and my two jack stands too, that way we can be working on a couple cars at once

are there going to be any CDV pros around? I'd love to lend a hand or two and make the trip down, even if it's just to hang out and observe.
