Yeah, they were trying to convince me that an aftermarket head gasket would definately blow my engine, but nitrous was completely safe w/o tuning ... unique views

They put my whiteline swaybar on upside down on my old Solara and assured me it would settle. The bar eventually slammed down on a tie rod I think it was and basically made my tires toe in pretty bad to the point where I was basically dragging them and ruined the tires.

In short I had to run around with a temp fix for a few months until they got a replacement part.

They DID fix everything but that was enough for me.

Really nice people but I can't feel comfortable with them working on my cars.

I think a lot of people locally talk from hearsay rather from experience. Steve runs a great business and I hope more people support local shops here in Jax.

Yeah, word of mouth is a big factor in any business, especially one doing a lot of business locally.

Steve did seem cool and worked with me on the price after his mechanic destroyed my exhaust and parking brake.

My thoughts exactly. Their cars are quality, that gray EG w/ the turbo'd K20 is sick. On the other hand, they turbo'd that '05 Rio and put an Apex'i V-AFC NEO (or maybe not even the NEO) on it to tune the car. I told them they would blow it up, but they kept arguing with me that as long as they kept it at low boost it would be totally safe. FAIL

They also cut the metal part off of one of my exhaust hangers when they were swapping exhausts b/c the mechanic "couldn't get it out" of the rubber hanger, and then left the parking brake engaged on my car when they dyno'd it, and I have a friend who had his Civic FALL OFF the dyno b/c they didn't tighten down the straps.

But yeah, their shop cars are nice. Also, the guy who seemed to be in charge there (I forget his name, it was a year ago) was cool and seemed to know what he was doing. As far as my experience, it was just that one guy who 'd things up
You have the yellow AP1 with the Blitz Wheels and the RS*R exhaust right? If so I remember. I do remember Brian (the technician who worked on it) ask you if he could cut the hanger and you said that was fine, so I'm not sure of the issue at hand. We've never had a civic fall off the dyno maybe you mistaken us with some of the fellow other shops with dynos.

That yellow s2000 you all speak of is not a 05, it is a 07. If it was a 05 then it would not have had a NEO, instead AEM EMS. The car ran for maybe 3 weeks with the NEO at 4lbs before we went to Emanage Ultimate. Before the car blew it was making 320 at lbs and had been that way for almost 3 months. If the owner was so unhappy I don't think we would continue to do business with us, like sending his block out to get sleeved and pistons/rods. I can also assure that the car did not blow because of tune.

billiardboy904 I'm not sure who you are or where you get your info from but I'm not sure what non brand name non performance parts your talking about. Some people prefer to be cheap and buy non brand parts and are most definitely told what they are getting before they pay. In the 14 months that I have been here I can guarantee that pricing has been even with the internet and cheaper then everyone else around town.

lucky3underworld I'm sorry you paid soo much for the exhaust, I'm not sure who you dealt. I"m sure tho that if you found a price online or locally whoever would have been more than happy to match it. You have to realize tho that we have a much much higher overhead then these online companies that sell parts out of their house.

If anyone has any other questions/concerns please feel free to say.

I am one who can say, The Cars they build for their ownselves are usually built with Quality. Their cvics are Fast, They build awesome N/A motors and can do major installs but I have seen too many Cars come from their that I laughed at.
Now I am not sure if the owner was cheap and bought cheap stuff for the car or treated them poorly but I do know that The Turbo'd 05' Rio S2K they built Blew up 2 weeks later and the owner was ashamed. The builder was scheduled to be on the cover of Honda tuning Magazine (not saying any names) and now the motor is gone.
Not to mention, they sell items that are worthless and provide people with crap like Low quality brand names, non performance parts when people think they are performance and etc.

Then again, The people are very nice, Steve and Tommy were the originals and I to this day enjoy conversations with them both.
This is my first post and will answer any questions anyone has and I will respond to anyone that has any concerns, questions, and inquiries.

I'll start by first saying thanks for the comments about our shop car.

I have seen too many Cars come from their that I laughed at.
Would enjoy reading about some of them cars you have laughed at. Could you tell us about some of them? Let us know what it was you saw that made them cars become a laugh.

Now I am not sure if the owner was cheap and bought cheap stuff for the car or treated them poorly but I do know that The Turbo'd 05' Rio S2K they built Blew up 2 weeks later and the owner was ashamed.
We install what people buy and bring us. We don't install what we feel like installing. When you go to Burgur King do you choose what to eat or do they just give you what they feel you should eat? We do as we are told bottom line.

As far as an 05 RIO S2K, maybe you can let me know which on it was. Because we have never once BUILT a S2K and have never even worked on an 2005 one for that matter. Are you confused. Please explain.

We have turbo charged a few S2K's, never built one. If someone blows up a car 2 weeks later, what does that have to do with a business? 2 WEEKS? IF something was wrong it would have "blown up" the same day. Maybe you should get all your ducks in a row (and facts)before speaking for others.

The builder was scheduled to be on the cover of Honda tuning Magazine (not saying any names) and now the motor is gone
What does this mean? builder? We get motors sent to Machine shops for building. Not sure what your talking about. We build our own motors here, customers go to the machine shop. What motor is gone? What happened to it? Mind filling us in on what your talking about?

Not to mention, they sell items that are worthless and provide people with crap like Low quality brand names, non performance parts when people think they are performance and etc.
What items are worthless? Can you list some of them? What low quality brand names? Can you tell me about the "non performance parts when people think they are performance and etc?" Please list this things instead of just talking hear say.

You give us props in your statement begining, then bash us, then talk about how you enjoy talking to us still to this day. Whats the deal? I look foward to reading your responce on what I asked above.

I don't have any experience from them but if I need any parts I probably wouldn't go to them and as far as tuning goes I'd probably use Stage 6 anyday.
No experience with us and basing your decision from hear say. Wow! No worries at all. Appreciate your input.
