Since when do you have to vote on a company becoming a sponsor on S2KI btw?

Sorry-- I kind of got the impression that the thread was almost like a poll to see if they should be a sponsor. After reading it again, I guess it's not.

Nah, it's more of a "how do you feel about the shop" kinda thread. I had a bad experience w/ the mechanic, and my buddy did (supposedly w/ the same guy), but I've heard a lot of good things too, and like I said their shop cars are sick, so I wanted to hear from more people about the shop, kind of get an overall JAX poll of it instead of just listening to rumors ... sadly, this has turned into something else.

You have the yellow AP1 with the Blitz Wheels and the RS*R exhaust right? If so I remember. I do remember Brian (the technician who worked on it) ask you if he could cut the hanger and you said that was fine, so I'm not sure of the issue at hand. We've never had a civic fall off the dyno maybe you mistaken us with some of the fellow other shops with dynos.

That yellow s2000 you all speak of is not a 05, it is a 07. If it was a 05 then it would not have had a NEO, instead AEM EMS. The car ran for maybe 3 weeks with the NEO at 4lbs before we went to Emanage Ultimate. Before the car blew it was making 320 at lbs and had been that way for almost 3 months. If the owner was so unhappy I don't think we would continue to do business with us, like sending his block out to get sleeved and pistons/rods. I can also assure that the car did not blow because of tune.

billiardboy904 I'm not sure who you are or where you get your info from but I'm not sure what non brand name non performance parts your talking about. Some people prefer to be cheap and buy non brand parts and are most definitely told what they are getting before they pay. In the 14 months that I have been here I can guarantee that pricing has been even with the internet and cheaper then everyone else around town.

lucky3underworld I'm sorry you paid soo much for the exhaust, I'm not sure who you dealt. I"m sure tho that if you found a price online or locally whoever would have been more than happy to match it. You have to realize tho that we have a much much higher overhead then these online companies that sell parts out of their house.

If anyone has any other questions/concerns please feel free to say.
Ok, yeah Brian is the guy ... I told him that he could cut one of the rubber hangers, since I was going to a single so I didn't need all of them. Then he came into the shop and told me that he cut the metal hanger on the exhaust, which is a totally different thing ... I still don't understand why he didn't just cut the rubber hanger, which is like a $5 fix, instead of cutting the metal hanger?

He was also who I was talking to about the head gasket ... I guess Brian and I had some miscommunications about the hanger and the head gasket ... we were talking about the head gasket while we were also talking about the '07 in the shop, so he might've been talking about head gaskets on turbo cars in relation to boost. The head gasket on the NA thing didn't make sense to me either.

I know a guy with a red Civic hatch, it has gold wheels and vinyl on it, we used to live in the same complex (he was there the day I dyno'd mine, too) ... he told me that the straps weren't tight, and the car fell off the side of the dyno ... I'm not making it up, we were talking about VT b/c I was talking about going in there for another dyno, and just asking you or Steve to set it up ... I'll talk to him next time I see him and get it figured out.

Bernard's car didn't fall off, one of the straps broke. We replaced his tire and I'm sure he will speak very highly of us. The car was on the dyno to get tuned and he actually had a headgasket problem I believe and we fixed it for him. He was just here yesterday hanging out too.

I'm sorry for the way Brian, I can't say we've ever actually had anyone say good stuff and compliment us about his actions. That is why he know longer works here and does his own thing. He doesn't know much more than H22 motors and boost lol. Aftermarket headgaskets are fine but everyone I know prefer OEM gaskets, specially on turbo cars. If you really wanna do a high compression build then do a Cometic or something but I'd still stick with an OEM if I could.

Just a question, but didn't you leave your stock exhaust here?
