Hello Jacksonville. My wife and I are moving to the South Jacksonville area in about two weeks. Do you guys meet up at all. ? If so how many usually go? . I've only been there once before and I'm not too familiar with the area. I would appreciate the info if any locals have some tips on the following:

Good golf courses.
Gun range indoor and out.
Any Autox or high-speed events.
Any Restaurants: Italian, Steak houses, Indian food, wine places.
Best malls.
Great hangout and "people watching" places.
Bars and jazz clubs.
Scenic and photographic locations.
Areas to avoid. (ghetto)
Traffic patterns?

Meets are normally Tuesday nights.
Amelia Island has great golf courses; they are pricey though.

 

Welcome Jim and family we pretty much have everything you asking for. We have around 4-5 good malls. Plenty of golf courses, every kind of resturaunt you can think of, plenty of bars/clubs (especially at the beaches). Traffic usaully sucks everywhere you go between 3-7pm. We hAve weekly meets every tuesday, and larger meets every other saturday.

There are also Automative Addict meets the second Saturday of every month. Some S2K's always show up. They are at the River City marketplace near the airport.
