Nice

I just got the estimate from Allstate, it was like $691 b/c the guy said they could probably bang the fender out. Made me mad I even filed the claim. I took it to the body shop and the first thing the guy said was "We're going to have to order a new fender", so the price will now probably double. Add the cost of the rental car, and I will not be modding my car for the rest of the decade.

$691.... Allstate is on crack.

i feel bad for you, a repaired car usually doesnt feel the same. Even NegCamber notcied that my door felt funny while opening and closing it. It took a nice hit as well and was entirely replaced, but just not the same anymore.

Hope everything gets better

My damage from being backed in to at a stop sign was over $2000. Sorry to hear the lowball amount.

Allstate has something called "Pro Shops" - shops they like where, if you take the car to one of them, Allstate will automatically authorize payment for any amount in excess of their estimate. So I just take it to the shop and forget about it.

State farm has that also. No fuss. Lol. Once I tried to use a different shop than one of there "pro shops". What a mess. That shop messed my civic up so bad!! Took it back to them 8 times. They still could not get it right. Autocrafters on 17 is one of state farms pro shops and they did my s2k perfect first try.

Yeah, I had a similar experience with another shop. Allstate recommended I take it to the Lincoln/Mercury dealership on Southside, so I'm dropping it off there tomorrow.

What is BOL? The only thing I know it stands for is bill of lading, and I'm not shipping my car.

In a related matter, my rental is a chocolate color Chevy Impala, it feels like I am driving an SUV in a video game. No steering or suspension feel, but it is very comforatble and roomy. Good for being the designated driver this week too, Enterprise hooked it up. You know they have locations at both the Cadillac and Lincoln dealerships? Crazy idea, but it works really well for them w/ all the people needing loaner cars.
