Default aem ap2 base map

so i been lurking on aempower forum and crusing the information super highway and cant find an ap2 base map. when i loaded the aem softweare, the basemap they have was created off an 01 ap1. is everyone working off this one or is there a newer ap2 map they use?

wanted to add that even if someone just has the stock ap2 timing/fuel table that would help. trying to make my base map the stock map to work from. still dont understand why aem didnt just create a mirror of the stock ap2 map.

trying getting hold of Giles here on the forum. he might be nice enough to send you something more AP2 specific

i also looked, and ended up starting with:
+5% fuel after vtec
+10% before
changing redline to 8200fuel, 8300 ignition
knock control on
-2degrees EVERYWHERE

that should keep you safe as a base map, but still look to get it tuned properly on a dyno.

i found that on aempowers site, timg posted it i beelive. i performed those changes so far in the map, and will work from there.

i also saw that the coolant cal table could be a bit off, so was gonna tweak that. did you do this as well? last, i guess i will grab the modifry temp gauge fix, i know i have the serial gauge, but it would be nice to have the stock cluster fully functional.

no, didnt touch the coolant cal table...save that for the tuner. yes, the modifry chip is great, and Bob is AWESOME!

Hey guys....Just ran across this. I plan on staring my car up in the next few days with the AEM EMS and I was wondering how these changes to the base map worked out for the 2.2L.

I have no clue what I'm doing with the EMS but I'll figure it out. Just want to make sure I'm safe getting to the dyno (which may be a long drive).

BTW my motor will have a 12.3:1 compression ratio. Any suggestions on what I should do to compensate since almost everyone else is stock.

the numbers above are a good place to start. i would retard the timing slightly more for the higher CR. also, change the water temp table and air temp table. they are off, the water temp one less off then the air temp one, thats way off. air temp table is on this site from user candymanjl and water temp table is on aempower.

good luck!
