Default Kpro Newb

2005 AP2 with kpro.

I've recently finished the installation of all the sensors and buttoned the car back up. I've got the kpro ecu installed with USB to my computer. I've installed the kmanager (most recent version) and hooked upto the car.

When I go to upload a new calibration I don't see anything under 2004-2005 AP2. I see maps for an rsx, I see one map for an AP1 and numerous other maps. Under the drop down tab there is nothing for 04-05 AP2.

Do I need to download a base map to start from? If so, where do I download that from. Hondata's website nor the help guide doesn't seem to mention anything here.

I really just need a map to verify everything is installed correctly and to allow me to drive to a tuner after the go fast parts are installed. In other words I think a basemap is all I need at this point.

I think it's normally included. I picked this up used. It has had everything else thus far. I feel like I'm just not looking in the correct place.

You can use the AP1 calibration to start the car. IIRC, there isn't an AP2 calibration included. Not sure why.

This is taken from the Hondata forum...

Ahhhhhh thanks. Weird that they don't include one for the 04-05 models. So the AP1 map will be good enough to run and check everything safely?

Once I install the turbo I'll need to get a basemap from my tuner to limp it there I'm guessing.

As long as you stay out of boost, the basemap will be fine. Gotta stay part throttle and NO boost though.
