Default AEM V2 bypass valve

With what seemed the first time i had to drive my s2k in the rain in almost a year it got me thinking that maybe i should have the bypass valve, im careful not to drive through puddles but it still is a concern for me. does anyone have anything good/bad to say about the mod? is it even worth it unless im driving through puddles all the time? thanks.

You turn a perfectly good cold air intake into an ordinary intake. Cover up the water drain hole in the fender under the hood and make an "umbrella" for the filter.

I think you posted this in the wrong forums. Try under the hood or PM a sponsor of AEM..

i've had the same problem and i looked into the bypass valve also. its not compatible with the v2. it screws up the v2's dual chamber design.

when i had the v2, i plugged the drain hole under the hood and used an ebay airfilter heatshield as an "umbrella" for the intake. never had an issue with the intake sucking up water.
