Who knows, I'm still geting an Amuse for my SC300....Amuse's artistic quality and 50lbs of weight saving is worth it.
i was never running any boost on either one of my amuse exhaust's and they both still rattled.

From what I've heard, it looks like it has something to do with the material inside the sub taiko (resonator) or the muffler canister. I also remember one guy who was overseas and had his supercharger or turbo blow up on him and send chunks of metal down the exhaust and then he had the same issue. Do either of your exhausts have any exterior dents or anything? Some sort of impact might cause this but then again, i'm just guessing on what the cause is.

No one has reported external damage. The Amuse exhausts look fine on the outside (and are a work of art) but they just seem to rattle.

The R1000 seems to rattle off the rear sub frame. The buzz seem to come through the cabin.

I put some of that exhaust wrap stuff between the pipe section and the sub frame and it seems to have dampened the rattling/buzzing sound and it is complete rattle free! :-)

I noticed this while I was putting in the Apexi variable silencer into the rear can. Great to decrease the volume of that exhaust.

Have a look at the car with the exhaust on jack stands. Let me know if anyone tries it out.

Sounds like the resonators/muffler falling apart from the inside. Quite unfortunate.

It still sucks big time for an exhaust that costs more than $2000,-

This isn't a good thing for "future" amuse buyers. I know that if I was looking for an exhaust, I would look for an other TI brand..

Is Amuse going to do something about it? Or don't you have any garanty on it?

Enough about the Rattle, has anyone dynoed their R1000, besides mxt_777's car, I've never seen an R1000 get dynoed. I'm debating between the J's 70RR and Amuse R1000 but I'd like to know where each one makes it's power.

I'm curious too. Though my bet is on the Amuse, by .01whp!
