I was one of the first with the Amuse rattle and started a thread on this very subject early this year. I'm on my second Amuse exhaust, a single with no resonator, and so far no rattles.

R1000 rattle is common when cold but minimal when warmed up. Heck, all my reinforcement springs have all fallen off under heavy competition use.

The only beef I have is with the springs, they should've a better design/improvement around that.

Flexi-wiring coiled around the spring joints 3-4 times do a stronger reinforcement job and definitely don't make me worry about them falling off anytime soon.

My JIC exhaust had a rattle and boy am I glad I got it fixed...not only does it sound 10x better...it also provide a couple more hp to the butt dyno.

what my problem was, and I removed the exhaust to find out was that the metal material and packing inside the resonator had come loose...it was causing a huge restriction and banging around...it couldn't come out because it was still mostly intact...just loose from the wall of the resonator.

To fix it I got another resonator welded in...something like a glasspack and it works and sounds great.

Personally I HATE rattles...they are embarassing to me and when somebody elses car rattles I question it...I wont spend a dime on an amuse exhaust if this is the case. ESPECIALLY for the price. I wanted an R1000...I'm going with the J's 70rr now.

I'm curious too. Though my bet is on the Amuse, by .01whp!

Yeah, I'm sure it's minimal, I guess I'm more curious to see the amount of "area under the curve" between the R1000 and the 70RR. I figure if I'm gonna spend $1500+ looking for the best performing exhaust, I should know for sure.

Loads of history on this;

Mine was the back box splitting along a weld as it flexed, it is fine now it has been modified and repaired!
