btw, are you using the JDM rear license plate bracket? where did you get yours from? my plate is still ziptied to the rear bumper, LOL
Just got my car back from the bodyshop after they tried to mount my JDM bracket.
In order to use the JDM bracket, you will need the JDM Rear bumper support. The USDM bumper support will NOT work with the JDM bracket.
Basically in order to mount the license plate using the 'top holes' you will need both the JDM Bracket and JDM rear bumper support...so it looks like I still need to use the bottom two holes to mount my license plate until I can find a JDM bumper support.
If you really want to use the top holes, you would need the bodyshop to either fill in the empty space or spend extra money for the bumper support and bracket.

what jdm bumper support and usdm bumper support are you referring to Stan? I understand jdm bracket needs to be installed with the rivets came with the bracket. I had my buddy used to work at a honda dealer as a sale manager order it for me along with other jdm stuffs. I had to give Lee(Leester) credit for this knowledge.

the yellow s2k, coustersy of gotuning.com is usdm which looks similar to the silver jdm mounted together by rivets, and the jdm gpw s2k is the end-result of the jdm bracket installed

I will have the body shop tries to install the jdm bracket with rivets because I do not have a rivet gun, I hope it will be ok. I have both jdm tow hook brackets version 1 and 2. Long story short the guy at honda part dept., did not familiar with this got the short jdm tow hook bracket, but I wanted the long jdm tow hook bracket with re-enforcement beam attached. So I ended up paying for the long and short jdm tow hook
That is what the bodyshop told me. They told me they did a dry fit and the bracket did not extend out far enough so that I could mount the license plate.
My JDM bracket came with the bracket and the rivets and I thought it was going to be a straightforward install, but I guess not...
I will be taking my car to another bodyshop in a few weeks to have more work done to my car and I will see what they can do for me....but for now I am using the lower two holes.

Went to ASM this afternoon. Kanayama-san was generous enough to drive me around in the white and orange car. So awesome. The SACLAM exhaust is like nothing else.

Ive seen one photo of AJRacings S2K with what looks like an T1R towhook, however it must be custom since in order to use the OEM location, I believe you would need to cut the rear bumper.
Ideas?
