That little hump in the floor pan is easy to take out....I just stomped on it then finished the job with a rubber mallet.

I didn't think it was that easy

Haha! Yeah the floor pan on our car is like tin foil. In fact I had to go back under the car with a block of wood to try to keep everything somewhat flat. I did the same thing at the mounting location for one of the sub straps too.

The other downside is that you have to convert your battery from a standard SAE post to ring terminals. Most batteries have post conversion kits, but I couldn't find anything for the Varley since it's a 6mm male kit. Finding a 6mm female end kit was no problem, but it seems that there isn't one that exists for batteries with male connectors.
Yes you are right.. the only solution would be to hack or to switch the harness (and I'm not confortable with neither of the solutions) what did you do?

Additionally I asked directly to DMS (the manufacturers od the Redtops) and thats the answer I got.

Dear David

SAE posts for M6 male terminals are available but I'm not aware of any which will fit the Red Top 15. Their is not enough space around the M6 studs on the battery. The SAE posts normally fit the RT30 and RT40 only.

Best Regards

A buddy of mine hacked them for me. It actually was really easy and supposedly isn't too difficult to revert back to OEM.
