Enhanced dry carbon fiber? Anything like the Pagani Zonda enhanced dry carbon fiber with titanium in the weave?

Enhanced dry carbon is the process the use in F1. Carbon fiber is differentiated mainly by the process of manufacturing, anyone can buy the same raw material but only a few companies have the facilities for proper manufacturing.

ASM is at it again! Kanayama and I talked about producing a new front bumper a few years ago and finally here it is!

Here is the first picture of the bumper and a teaser pic of the hood development. The design is based on extensive testing at Tsukuba Circuit, the ASM I.S. Design Front Aero Bumper GT-10 incorporates a larger front lip for additional front end downforce. The overall length of the bumper is increased by 30mm further enhance downforce. The integration of the lip reduces the need to additional attachment hardware for maximum weight savings. The radiator opening is also widened for additional cooling effect. The leading edge of the front lip is sharpened for additional airflow under the car and into the front opening. Design specifically to match the the wide Front Aero Fender -04, the bumper flow air smoothly over the front fenders for better aerodynamics.

The ASM Aero Bonnet GT-10 is designed with additional ducting to draw out more hot air and be built without a base frame and rain channels for maximum weight savings.

ASM I.S. Design Front Aero Bumper GT-10 Dry Carbon custom MR version will be released in September 2010 with a price of $3549.99 USD
ASM I.S. Design Front Aero Bumper GT-10 FRP will be released in February 2011 with a price of $1799.99 USD

*MR Version is constructed in high strength dry carbon custom made for each vehicle. The vehicle will need to be scanned at the factory and each bumper be constructed specifically to fit each car. Limited to only five units.

question, the old asm bumper on the white car pictured has the wheel arch kickouts. these cover the tireface (the way a bumper should), even for an aggressive offset set of front wheels/tires.

does the new bumper do this? i.e. is the new bumper wider/wide enough to cover aggressive front tire/wheel combo?

From the looks of it, yes. You can see that the entire panel is extended on its sides. With the original bumper, you could utilize it with the oem fenders because of the optional extended fender pieces that were supplied with the ASM fenders. However, it looks like this bumper can only be used with the ASM fenders because the extension is molded into the bodylines of the new bumper.

Yes, the new bumper is wider and extends to the width of the ASM Front Aero Fenders -04 and will cover the tires.
