out of that list, I would say the Bilsteins are the best hands down. I've been doing a lot of research concerning the same factors. One thing I've found, is that hardly any aftermarket coilover kits come with remote resv. in the rear, which our cars have and use stock. Anyone that has driven an AP1 hard knows that the rear will bumpsteer even with the remote resv. I can't imagine how poor they must handle with out them, you'd have to run some pretty stiff damping and spring rates IMO.
out of these I would go with the PSS9s for all-around performance. The thing is, what are you going to be using the coilovers for? There is no "best" coilover ... they are built for different things and out of this list you're not going to find something that's amazing on the street and the track, so you have to tell people what you're using it for.

With that in mind, I've seen a lot of Tein Flex coilovers blow early, from what I've gathered they have poor damping and very high spring rates (to make up for the poor damping), so it kills the life of them if you drop them too much. I also like the idea of the Buddy Clubs if you get the tophats with them, they would help correct the camber ... overall though, out of the list I would probably go with the PSS9s and then buy a set of pillowball upper mounts from Cusco to drop on top so you can tune them a little bit more. The one complaint I've heard about the PSS9s is that while they are great on the street, they are not the best for serious track junkies and they can't support high spring rates (without being revalved). The other reason I love Bilsteins is that there are a lot of shops in the USA that revalve them for track use, so it's easy to get them worked on and changed if your needs change ... you might use your car only on the street now, but a couple years later you might want to turn it into a track car -- you can just have the shocks revalved, throw some Swift springs on there, and you're good to go

wow... thanks for the opinions.

my coilovers will be street driven 95% of the time... I'd like to keep the performance aspect in mind, but for the most part, just good handling, a nice drop, possible track time - although I just recently got another car for that

How about Stance?

The Flex, I like the EDFC idea, but for some reason, there are lots of mixed reviews sending a negative vibe towards those...

PSS9s seem to be like overall, in general, by the entire forum.

Edit:

How do the BC Racing Spec and PSS9s compare?

I don't care if the ride is "stiff" - it's not a daily car, so I could live with it

I Have the Flex with 8K springs in the front and 10k in the rear. They come with 10k for fronts and 12 k rears but that was to stiff for me, now they are perfect.

One plus is that if you blow them, Tein USA will re-buid them with rather fast turn around times. i have not had any problems what so ever with mine, and i run with 0 finger gaps between tires and fenders (front and rears).

The buddy clubs will be a lil stiff, but offer good performance at a decent price. I know the stance guys are local to us both, so i dont really know many running them. Id vote for the BC RS's or the Billstein. feel free to PM me bout any questions ya may have or stop by. always willing to help

Can you drop me a price on the Buddy Clubs via PM?
I'm still leaning towards the Flex for some reason... idk

...also, with the PSS9, they don't come with upper mounts... how big of a problem is that? Is there a set available?

PSS9s can be had for about $1300 which is perfect, so i'm thinking.

How about Megan Racing?

i saw this post and wanted to know about the tein ra's. my buddy has a used set he wants to sell me and just wanted to know how good they are. the car is only on the street, no track. opinions would be greatly appreciated on the tein ra's. also, are they worth 900 with approx 6000 miles on them?
