Cusco/Safety21 5 point roll bar installation!

it should be (although there will be many haters that will say it won't). But it is meant to be run over the stock parts hence he shape of the bars. If you are going to remove your stock bars anyway, just get a harddog bar or similar. Those are definitely strong and will hold up without the stock bars in place. Also the harddog bar would let you run a harness at a better height if you wanted to run them.

Great write-up.
I was the first in the US to install the 6 point with harness bar in 2002. I cant believe that was 11 years ago. Damn... Time flies as we age.

1.5 years late, but i guess i'll answer for anyone that may still want to know. The 5th point pretty much sits right in front of the rear soft top window, so it does block your view a bit. You can still see around it but some view is partially blocked.
You can see where the bar sits in this photo:

the main hoop on the passenger side needs either a spacer or that bar needs to be shortened. Iv done this for a buddy of mine but it was a while back and he sold the car. It can be done. I currently have a CUSCO 7 point thru dash cage which has been welded in. So I can race in SCCA compition
