i'm using the latest firmware version 2.20
few parameters changed in comparison to whats been posted on the 1st page

quick q: where do u control vtec again ? is it nvcs ? there is no vtm parameter

moe6, how's life?? Miss the Singapore GP?

Guys, sorry, I must confess I have not search thoroughly. I jus bought an Ultimate off ebay used part.

No support tool, no CD, no harness..

Can someone tell me where can I download the tuning software???

I have a D version board. Have set up the jumpers according to

Interesting find today.



Installed a E series board on a buddies S with a boomslang

The vtec CEL popped on as expected some times.

Cleared the CEL and the error came back.


The jumpers are set the same way as I have mine set.

Now specifically looking at JP17 both mine and the new install are set 1-2 however his car gets the cel.

After talking to both boomslang and Greddy they both told me to set JP 17 to open.

Interesting that they both told me to do this since mine is working properly

Hello everyone,
I have found the information in this thread to be quite interesting.

Unfortunately I am installing an emanage ultimate in a 2001 Honda S2000. We have installed it as this thread has suggested and in the end it doesn't work. Then we called greddy and got instructions and it didn't work.

The problem is when we add timing the car just breaks up. It does this when we added 0.5 degrees of timing. We compensated by adding some fuel to be sure the knock sensor was not detecting any signs of detonation but that didnt work eithier.

We disconnected the vtec from the emanage and let the stock computer control it and that didnt solve it.

We tried another Emange Ultimate out of a new car with an E board and that didn't work.

We have tried just wiring the rpm wire into the "I" position as labeled in the chart found in this thread. We also tried wiring up the cam and crank sensors as greddy mentioned and that doesn't work. We disconnected the rpm wire while we had the crank and cam wires hooked up so that's not the problem either.

We have disconnected all the wires except the ones recommended here. We have changed jumpers to every setting imaginable. We know its not mechanical because it runs fine without the Emanage on it.

I guess there is no guarantee that they will work on S2000 cars. I am sure there is something wrong but we just cant figure out what.

Does anyone want to take a stab at why this thing is not running. The board inside is a D board not an E board.

what spark plugs

Resistor or non resistor.


I had some major problems with non-resistor plugs. (really big fire balls and major break up)


Also make sure you version is the latest.

Sorry if this has been asked but are the jumper settings for AP1 and AP2 w/ DBW the same? I read the whole thread and didn't see it mentioned. Thanks, ShocK.

I bought a pre-tuned EMU middle of last year from Ballistic.

I can only say that on a JDM car/engine, it was complete garbage.

Knock sensor just kept kicking in, even on mild ignition! (CAI, Header, Exhaust, colder plugs, high pressure rad cap)

I have emailed Scott, but simply got nothing back other than a 'I'll look into it'

Took it out last week as it was adding 1lb of extra ballast!

I would love to be able to take it to a tuner and go from the pre-tuned map, but bugger me if it isn't password protected!

Why? I just want to tune my car, I couldn't give a fsuck about selling on IP etc etc.

As it stands - biggest waste of $1000 ever

I checked a harness that my local shop received from a reputable harness manufacture and they had wired Cylinder 3 and 4 ignition backwards .


And they also wired in another special setup that was requested backwards from what was explicitly asked for
