Default exhaust

my dads friend owns exhaust pros here in town and i could get him to make me a single for like 150 bucks not counting the muffler. I'm not really about saving wieght so much but i still want it to sound good... what muffler sould i use? and what size pipe?


i might sound stupid to you all but i cae from a 2000 gt mustang and we said f it and cut off the cats and just put 2 flow 40s on it and called it a day

Use 2.75" piping. As for the muffer, what do you want it to sound like? "Good" is a very subjective term.

i really dont know i want it to be a single so really load lol also I dont want it to be to raspy (civc like ) i heard a few vids on youtube that i liked ill post them later though b/c im at school and they block every freakin good website

You don't have to worry about it sounding like a civic. The 2.5-2.75 piping sould sound deep.

I believe that a 70mm exhaust of a stock-ish S is a bit much; yes you may gain more power at higher RPM but you will lose low end power, which is scarce in the F series motors anyway. But if you are modified and making a credible amount of power, i.e. full tuning, itbs, cams, etc., this is when you should consider a larger diameter exhaust.
