Default F20C to the Max

We've had two NA tuning threads, so heres a small spin off of them. I'd love to see this thread be as informative as possible so lets try and keep it that way, so no reposts of the same material please. I'd like to do a ground up for the F20C that definitively gives mods and horsepower good and bad. Engine work is acceptable as long as its still 2.0L

I'll start:
Dyno Dynamics OEM air box testing: (This was a year ago so I've lost the dyno sheets but its not that important anyway).

Dyno pull without lid on air box and floor fan on top of airbox: 0whp

Dyno pull without lid and filter: .5 whp

K&N FIPK: Dyno charts are here https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...=0&#entry848181

Stock Horspower: 199.8
Stock Torque: 134.4

With FIPK:
Horsepower: 204.4
Torque: 141.0

Evasive Motorsports 70mm Ti Dolphin Tip
Dyno Chart: http://video.maxrev.net/Evasive/evasive70mm.jpg
Soundclip: http://www.evasivemotorsports.com/merchant...ory_Code=T1R-ES

Baseline Horsepower: 210.0
Baseline Torque: 146.6

With EM 70R:
Horsepower: 221.3
Torque: 152.4

Unorthodox Race Pulleys with Fidanza Flywheel: 7whp

Mildly tuned VAFC(A/F ratios of 13.2:1): 7whp

Wildcard:
Baseline 186/122
+ AEM EMS 1052U 208/138 cool.gif
+ Jenvey 50mm ITB's 215/150

J's Inake + J's exhaust: 17.4whp
Dyno Chart:

Mugen Header (Extensive supporting mods): 6whp 5lb/ft tq
Dyno Chart: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...dpost&p=8902821
Mod list: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?act=m...mage&img=360981

Just thought I would throw this in for a little spice.
MY06 NA build thread: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.ph...ic=509369&st=0

What I'd like to see is every Intake, Every exhaust whether it be just a header or a combination of header and header back, head work, compression bumps. Also would be interesting for someone to do a before and after dyno of light weight rims. Hopefully this thread will become the go to for guys who want no BS, dyno proven parts. Hopefully this is a good idea haha if not just say so, you guys post up and I'll add to my OP. Thanks Shock. I will also reserve the first post for Good mods that add hp and the second post below this one will be for bad mods with negative gains.

I like the idea of the thread, but have nothing to share until I get my car out this spring. I hope it gets a periodic bump, or maybe a few of these threads needs stickies.

great idea for a thread. what would help even more is to see dyno charts of each mod. picking up hp/tq is not always about peak power. more area under the curve can definitely make a car faster as well.

tried back to back dyno with ap1 wheels vs lightweight te37s... 0 rwkw gain

tried aem v2 vs no air filter on the aemv2 ... made 1rwkw more without the filter and the filter was clean !

4th gear dyno vs 5th gear dyno... the 4th gear dyno made 145rwkw but the 5th gear dyno only made 135-136rwkw... this using a 05 gearbox... ??? why ?? couldnt explain that..

Fifth gear is slightly overdriven, fourth is slightly underdriven. Most dyno's can be set up to properly calculate so that you wont see the difference, I'm not really sure if that makes sense or if thats correct. I can see it if the dyno is set up to measure speed of acceleration, then gear would definitely impact power.

http://www.unorthodoxracing.com/

If I recall correctly I knocked off 4lbs from the crank pulley, I think I was one of the first 10 sets

wow that is impressive. I'm surprised it is not more known on these forums. Also surprised it includes the crank pulley as well.
