Default The Fast and the Furious

Hey Ben and everyone else concerned,

Just wanted to send a heads-up that the Fast and the Furious game released yesterday (Wednesday the 27'th). I've been checking some things out in it since my purchase and I've gotta say its pretty good. Kinda like a Need for Speed title mixed with Tokyo Highway Battle and the like.

Lots of nice JDM goodies to install on the cars and I believe there are more to unlock as you progress thru the game.

Theres also the Drift section of the Touge to check out as well and Dai Yoshihara will instruct you on how to perform the 8 Drift maneuvers to learn and master!

Ben is the "aftermarket specialist" and has done a wonderful job with the selection of parts in the game. Not only that but you'll see posterboards of "The Real JDM" as you drive thru Tokyo as well.

I've only purchased an S13 Nissan Silvia to resemble my second car but I can't wait to buy an S2000 and see what can be done with this too!

I got it last night

I'm starting with a 180sx and looking forward to getting an S2K ASAP. I have only tried the top speed runs and point to point racing so far.

Looking forward to playing it some more when I get off work

I heard it has a huge JDM parts catalog. Hopefully it's realistic enough to try different aero parts, wheels, etc. and get a feel for how the stuff would actually look on your car. Should cut down the the photoshop and picture requests.

Another note:

Depending on the shop you're in, you'll see different cars and such in the background of the garage.

For example:

Hans garage has the Evo and Veilside FD3S,

Toretto's Muscle shop has the Charger and a Mustang in it,

Bulletproof Automotive and Bespoke both have their fair share of JDM posters up with some imports in them as well.

Very intricate on the small things we appreciate as tuners.

Also...clutch kick!!!! Yes there's even a clutch kick button to initiate drifts with!

Oh baby.....I need a hankie.

(alright, back to work )

my buddy just got the game yesterday.finsihed about 20% of the game already. we started out with the AE86, boosted it killed everyone in the drift events. and raped an NSX with the veilside bodykit in a grip battle.
biggest sleeper AE86 ever, stock rims, stock tires, stock everything, except for engine.

and then we sold the AE86, and bought a 350Z with the INGS kit (my buddies dream car) and boosted and nos, with LE28N in gloss black with polished lip. painted it gold with the carbon fiber hood.

and we also bought an S2000 (my car) and also put a INGS kit (side, rear) and the J's half racing lip on the front.painted gold to match the 350z with the LE28N in gloss black with polished lip. looks amazing!!....and then we boosted it and nos. and btw, its faster than the 350z. hahaha.

next car will prob be the NSX-R and put the veilside body kit on it.

anyways, i recommend this game to anyone. its a bit hard at first, i actually kind of hated it, but once you get a hold of the MANJI DRIFT (connecting drifts) this game is amazing, haha.

the only thing i hate about it is how you drift and you still pick up speed and smash into the walls.lol

getting the car you own in real life and then modding it to shits is friken insane.and makes the game so much better. and you can put 19's on the s without hurting performance...hahaha

wait till you see the widebdy kits for the S2k.
